About Me

Meet your teacher

Hi! Welcome to my webpage; my name is Georgette Demarinis. I have been teaching at Jefferson School for 16 years! I have taught Instructional Kindergarten and Blended Preschool. I am presently teaching a blended preschool classroom and I LOVE it! As a preschool teacher, I believe that all children WILL learn and presume competence for each and every child. Every youngster is different and have unique learning styles and work at their own individual pace. Every child is special.
My Education
In 1997, I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education (K-9). I continued my education at Northeastern Illinois University in which I received a Master’s in Early Childhood Special Education and an additional Master’s in Educational Administration. Most recently, I received my English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement from National Louis University.
I am dedicated to be a lifelong learner. As a preschool teacher, I want to help my students be passionate about learning and inspire every child to discover, learn, achieve and care.
“Every student can learn. Just not on the same day or in the same way.”
